For Holocaust Museum Houston’s 2026 Lyndon Baines Johnson Moral Courage Award Dinner, we were honored to create two films that sit at the intersection of remembrance, responsibility, and courage.
The honoree film centers on Patricia Heaton and her work with the October 7th Coalition. Rather than simply listing accomplishments, we focused on what moral courage actually looks like in practice. Through thoughtful storytelling and grounded perspective, the film highlights her willingness to speak up, stand alongside the Jewish community, and use her voice in moments that demand it most.
The companion piece, Living Legacy, turns inward and forward at the same time. Created to celebrate 30 years of the museum, the film brings together Holocaust survivors alongside first, second, and third generation voices. It is a reflection on what has been preserved and a call to carry it forward. Through intimate interviews and layered storytelling, the film underscores the responsibility of remembrance and the urgency of continuing the museum’s mission for the next 30 years.
Two films. One evening. A shared purpose.
To honor the past, recognize courage in the present, and ensure these stories continue to shape the future.
