Founder, Lead Director
Born and raised in Houston, TX, Zach is an H-Town boy through and through. After receiving a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder film school, Zach worked as an editor and producer for companies in Boulder, Aspen, and Los Angeles. In 2011, Zach moved back to Houston to start Cut To Create with the goal of creating meaningful and exciting media content while giving his clients an incredible customer service experience. He has produced, directed, and edited the award winning short documentaries “Tourette Syndrome: Up Close”, “The Astronaut’s Secret”, and “James Surls: This Place, Everywhere”.
Post-Production Supervisor
Kara found her calling as a film editor at an early age. Her love of storytelling and all things cinema brought her to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where she received a BA in Film Studies. While honing her skills as an editor, she began to flourish as a post-production coordinator for TV and Documentary film production. With 10+ years of experience in the post-production industry, she is a vital part of the C2C team, helping to make our client experience seamless and fun.
Producer
Jennifer has been writing and producing corporate documentaries for longer than she will let us reveal! She received her Bachelors in Fine Arts at Stephen F. Austin State University and has produced live events, broadcasts, and videos all over the globe. She tackles everything from budget development and call sheets to conducting interviews and managing all stages of production. Jennifer also likes to walk her dogs, bake bread, and attend live events from baseball games and concerts to her children’s basketball games and violin recitals.

Danny does it all. Danny has traveled the world documenting character-driven stories with some of the most reputable talent both in-front of and behind the camera. He has creatively and logistically produced over 50 hours of critically acclaimed short and long-form content for networks, streamers, brands and institutions. Danny’s experience spans productions big and small with extensive knowledge across multiple production platforms including live action, design, photography, OOH print, experiential, 2D and 3D visual effects, color correction and audio mixing. When he’s not working, he’ll either be trail running, experimenting with Romesco sauces in the kitchen, or playing peek-a-boo with the newest edition of my family, Paloma.
Producer and Brand Strategist
Angela Lee is a writer and producer who has worn many hats in the worlds of theater, music, video, and comedy, but – as pretentious as it sounds – they’ve all been storytelling gigs in one sense or another. A graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and Columbia University, Angela’s video work has been featured by Mashable, the Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, and Good Morning America. She’s been “the Voice of Cut to Create” for nearly a decade, she will ALWAYS want to pitch the client a “silly” option whether they ask for it or not, and even though she moved from Houston to Kansas, we can’t seem to get rid of her.

Esteban began his journey at the University Of Houston, where his love for cinematography was born. He began working with local production companies on everything from commercials to event documentaries to set building for music videos. Esteban has worked on many aspects of the industry but specializes as a director of photography. He enjoys using his skills for narratives, brand marketing, commercials, and event documentaries.

Scott is a seasoned sound engineer and the Chief Technology Officer at Cut to Create. With over 18 years of industry experience, Scott specializes in delivering high-quality audio solutions and innovative technical strategies. Beyond his technical prowess, Scott is known for his lighthearted spirit, and is responsible for any and all carrot jokes you might encounter around us.
Lead Colorist
Brittany began her career in live television before finishing her BA in media production at the University of Houston. Since graduating, she’s found her calling as an editor and has been producing and editing award-winning content in the Houston area for the last seven years. Whether you need fresh content to boost your brand, or cute cat videos to show that one coworker to fill the awkward silence in the break room, Brittany enjoys shaping your ideas into reality.
Lead Motion Graphics Artist
After 10 years as an art director and special effects artist in Hollywood, Bao has returned to his Houston roots to support the growing, local filmmaking community. As the Lead Motion Graphics Artist at Cut to Create, Bao blends technical expertise with a passion for storytelling. Trained in print and motion design, Bao holds a BFA from A&M Commerce, studying under the renowned Lee Whitmarsh. A creative at heart who can both draw like the wind and nail the Greatest Hits on karaoke night, Bao takes pride in bringing others’ visions to life.
Licensed Drone Operator
James Marett is an experienced licensed drone operator, always ready to rise to the occasion like a carrot sprouting toward the sun. With a keen eye for detail and a steady hand, James knows how to capture the aerial shots that bring projects to life, harvesting breathtaking visuals from every angle. His expertise has grown deep, rooted in experience and creativity. Whether it’s for commercial shoots or creative productions, James is the top pick from the bunch, always delivering results that are crisp, fresh, and full of vibrant perspectives.

Stephanie Marett is our talented art director, known for her ability to transform concepts into visually compelling stories. Whether we need to design a full set or source some very specific props, Stephanie’s got it covered. With a strong eye for detail, Stephanie ensures every project she works on is crafted with precision and artistic flair. Her experience spans a wide range of video productions, from commercial campaigns to narrative storytelling, where she collaborates closely with teams to deliver impactful visuals.

Tatiana Jones is an experienced editor, specializing in video editing, animation, motion graphics, and illustration. She holds a BS in Technology, Arts, and Media from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she developed a strong foundation in film, installation design, and science communication. When it comes to both cutting AND creating, this girl knows how to make the dang thing happen.

Amy is a freelance video editor with over ten years of experience in the industry, fluent in Avid, Premiere, and some DaVinci. She has edited a feature documentary, brand testimonials, mini series, and web and social content. Previously, she assistant edited two feature documentaries and several reality TV series on HGTV and the former DIY Network.

Disciplined in commercial production, Travis found his voice telling other people’s stories through animation and visuals to become an award-winning filmmaker, honing his craft in the edit suite to specialize in motion graphics packages for broadcast. Travis is a sharp, seasoned storyteller who brings over two decades of experience on the job. Facilitating projects from concept to completion, he has created memorable visuals for clients like ABC, New Balance, Redbull, Scion, The Travel Channel, and Howard TV.

Kevin Fleming is a seasoned motion graphic artist based in Dallas-Fort Worth with a passion for transforming ideas into eye-catching visuals. Kevin has worked on a wide range of projects—from dynamic corporate videos to bold branding campaigns. Whether it’s crafting sleek motion graphics, fine-tuning 3D animations, or designing engaging explainer videos, Kevin’s expertise lies in creating visuals that not only stand out but tell a story. FPV Drone Pilot
Alberto “Beto” Diaz is an expert FPV (First-Person View) drone pilot who turns the sky into his canvas, capturing exhilarating, high-speed footage that offers a whole new perspective. With a background in both aviation and filmmaking, Beto’s skills go beyond just piloting—he knows how to create breathtaking shots that enhance storytelling and immerse viewers in the action. Whether it’s racing through tight spaces, gliding over epic landscapes, or pulling off gravity-defying stunts, Beto’s flying is as smooth as it is thrilling.
On-Location and Post Production Sound Engineer
Chris Borque has been passionate about sound since receiving his first guitar at age 9, which led to a lifelong fascination with music and audio. After studying Recording Arts and interning at Sugar Hill Studios, Chris honed his engineering skills and learned to work with artists. He worked as a part-time engineer at KUHF recording classical sessions, and later full-time as an ADR engineer at ADV Films, dubbing Japanese animation. His extensive experience in both music and film has shaped his versatile career in audio for over two decades.
On-Location and Post Production Sound Engineer
If an actor says a line in the woods, but there is no Sound Engineer on location, do they make a sound? I don’t know the answer to that question and I never want to find out. Thankfully we don’t have to because we’ve got Matt Crawford to capture and create sound for us, both on site and behind the scenes in post-production. Matt’s sound is crisp, balanced, and immersive, like a fine glass of Chardonnay. From live events and film shoots to detailed sound design and mixing in the studio, his expertise covers the full spectrum of audio production.
