Holocaust Museum Houston reached out to us again for their annual fundraising dinner gala in which over a thousand philanthropists from the Houston area come together to further support the mission of the museum. The first of the three videos we produced for this event covers some of the programs and educational initiatives that the museum offers.
This year the event was focused on honoring two Asian diplomates (one from China, one from Japan) who provided visas to Jews so they could escape prosecution. We created a video for each honoree as well as a video discussing the work taking place at the museum.
Both Chiune Sugihara and Dr. Feng Shan Ho used their diplomatic status in order to attain visas for Jews trying to escape the path of Hitler's march. Since both are deceased, we decided to track down recipients of the visas and capture how the specific honoree impacted their lives. Each story was powerful in its own way and showed how one person can make an impact in many lives.
